It’s the last supermoon of the year, I wonder if that will calm things down? I doubt it.

Let’s start with the most exciting news, our new lamp. Check out this beauty! This is a Himalayan Salt lamp, which is a bit different for us as it’s nothing to do with wax melts or candles. It was simply too beautiful to pass by and after the love you guys were showing our salt burners it would have been crazy to miss out on this. These beautiful lamps are said to clean the air through a process called hygroscopy. This process attracts and absorbs water molecules from the air and locks them into the salt crystal.  This process is believed to remove cigarette smoke, dust and other contaminants from the air. Or it just looks pretty in any setting. Psst…there’s a small discount on them for a limited time.

Caerlaverock the scent launched at Dumfries Market Festival with roaring success. It was definitely the best seller of the day and suprised a few noses. This is another scent that has that T word that would put most people off. It’s so hard to describe but if you’ve bought one, could you leave us a review and let others know what you think? Review are a massive help to a small company like us. If you’ve not seen the scent description for Caerlaverock, here you go!

Aromatic vintage cologne notes lead into a heart of rich sweet tobacco, warm spices and a hint of cognac. Smokey woods of oak, ebony and incense combine with dark musks to complete this fragrance.

Top Notes: Lemon, Lime, Mint, Cognac.
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Iriswood, Clove, Vetivert.
Base Notes: Oak, Incense, Tobacco, Musk.

You can purchase the candle here. It’s also available in wax melts.

Reed diffusers – the bane of my life. It looks that prices are starting to settle for the fragrance oils, so we will be able to get these priced pretty soon and they should be popping up on the website in the very near future. I can’t believe how difficult it has been to get these going.

Would anyone be interested in wardrobe scenters? They are essentially a giant wax melt that you hang in a cupboard or wardrobe and let it do it’s thing. Once it starts to lose it’s cold throw scent you then use it as a wax melt and enjoy even more scent. It’s something that would be easy to organise but I’m looking to see if there would be a market for it.

Testing continues on another couple of scents int he hope they can be added to the range this year. It’s not going too well and I must apologise to the CC neighbours if you’ve heard the ranting at the lemongrass and ginger.

Our stockists are now open and ready to go! We’ve recently restocked The Boathouse, The Art Room and PureAlba, a box is sitting ready to go for Woolies. It’s wonderful to hear they are busy agaiin and getting a chance to catch up with them. We won’t be at the July market but we have applied for the August and September ones so we will let you know as soon as we do.
